Meet the Elton MBA

A personalized, venture-based MBA you can complete in 1 year.

Real-World Business Education, Tailored to You

Elton's MBA changes how way you learn, grow and lead. Based on our work with 100+  executives, we fundamentally redesigned this program to put your situation and real business needs first.

If you're currently in a leadership role, Elton complements your role and enhance your work performance, rather than distracting you from the work you do.

Whether launching a startup, scaling an SMB, working to drive organizational change, switching careers, or seeking an accelerated path to leadership: Your real-world needs and experiences are at the heart of our MBA program.

No holds are barred here. Using GPT-4, Midjourney or other generative AI products now? Great. We'll help you use AI more effectively, especially work that counts toward your degree.

Not US-based? No problem. The Elton MBA is global. While we  provide in-person opportunities  students worldwide, we know that the university of the future is digital-first and not tied to a specific location.

From the moment you join, our team collaborates with you to design a personalized learning pathway, adaptable to the ever-changing business landscape. Here’s how we do it:

21st-Century Oxford Tutorial: We bring the Oxford Tutorial System into the modern age. Engage in 1:1 sessions with our practiced instructional teams in intimate "tutorial" settings—right from your workspace.

Global Expertise: Access a wealth of knowledge from our remote faculty, advisors, and one-on-one coaches. Leverage our growing community of ICONS (Industry Contacts) to tackle real-world challenges using best practices.

Work-Based Credit: We don't just reward time spent in lectures. You earn credits for the impact you make in your field, and our lessons are tailored accordingly, saving you time and enabling us to add value to your work.

We believe in learning by doing real business projects in the real world.

BETTER THAN A TRADITIONAL MBA

An MBA with No BS

Have you noticed that some of the greatest business leaders you know are MBA drop-outs, and some of the greatest investors refuse to fund founders who have “stodgy” traditional MBAs.

Traditional MBA programs focus more on dry theory, rather than real-world practice. At Elton, it is reversed. Students contextualize all of their learning inside real world projects.

A VALUABLE NETWORK

Your Network is your Net Worth

Once a series of courses is set, you work 1:1 or in groups up to 3 students to complete courses in a personalized "tutorial." In this context, faculty and instructional teams are able to pull from a range of tools like micro content, peer-reviewed articles, publicly available content and original content to provide assignments that suit your needs in the order you need them. This way, you learn naturally and in a way that helps you produce your best work (submitted as evidence of your learning).

INSTRUCTORS WITH REAL EXPERIENCE

Our Professors are Battle-Tested

At a traditional MBA, faculty focus more on research and less on teaching. At Elton it is the opposite. Plus, our faculty's most proud "research" is their work in industry itself. Elton's "Instructional Teams" pull from dozens of seasoned industry experts and faculty from the most respected institutions. And instead of 300 person lectures or zoom videos of your professors, you work with faculty in 1:1, 1:2 or 1:3 student tutorials.

Learning in the Real World

While at Elton students will be working on three sorts of projects. These real-world projects help drive, motivate, and contextualize all student learning.
Venture-Based
Many Elton students join Elton with a business idea (or a few) that they want to validate and implement. The Real MBA can serve as an incubator and accelerator for someone's business idea. They then use these projects as a work horse to learn the vital hard and soft skills they will need to succeed now and in the rest of their business career.
Career-Based
Either on their own or through Elton's partnerships, Eltonians find work at companies as a contractor, an intern, or a full time employee. Inside the company they will complete one or more projects, all long working with Elton professors to develop business skills.
Project-Based
If a student has not started a business or been placed in a job yet, they will start working with their coaches and professors to develop projects. This could be a simulated project, e.g. rebranding an existing company, designing a marketing campaign, building financial projections for a model business, etc.
